Late June, July and August are considered peak of the season for Fishing, Weather and general Tourism in the Tofino area. Booking in advance for this high time of the year is strongly recommended. Inshore Saltwater Light Tackle Fishing Excursions
Experience an exhilarating battle with truly “Wild” Pacific Salmon, while enjoying the scenic and pristine landscape of world famous Clayoquot Sound. Clayoquot Venture’s 22 ft. inshore vessel "Power Play" is perfectly suited for fishing the near-shore “Hotspots” among the islands and reefs that create prime habitat for aggressively feeding Salmon. The protected waters of Clayoquot Sound are considered one of BC's most desirable inshore fishing areas, playing host to over one hundred runs of transient Chinook and Coho Salmon each year. This exciting light tackle gear fishery is commonly combined with Saltwater Fly-fishing action for those interested. Saltwater Fly-fishing Excursions
The protected inshore waters of world famous Clayoquot Sound, along with the abundant schools of baitfish and vital underwater structure, create an ideal setting for this exciting fishery. Your primary pursuit would be for acrobatic Coho Salmon, with Sea-Run Cutthroat Trout and various species of Bottom fish also available to test your skill with a fly rod and reel. Though we cater to all levels of experience, we provide only top quality equipment for these fully guided BC Saltwater Fly-fishing Charters. Clayoquot Ventures' enthusiastic and highly skilled guides are eager to show you why Tofino has been considered BC's premier location for Casting and Trolling Saltwater flies for hungry and aggressive Coho Salmon. Nearly 100% of the Fly patterns that we use for these Saltwater Fly-fishing trips are custom tied by our guide team, and are also available in our Fly & Tackle shop.

Fully catered and outfitted overnight excursions are a great option.
