Tofino Fishing Guides Profiles

Shawn is originally from Tofino, which means he was born with fishing in his blood. Shawn has guided for six years in Ontario as well as other regions of BC and is proud to return to Tofino this season to be guide with Clayoquot Ventures. Shawn has fished an array of waters, including the Okanagan Valley lakes with their beautiful Rainbow trout, Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands) for trophy class Salmon and Halibut, The Pacific side of Costa Rica for massive Billfish, and the expansive waters of Lake Huron. Shawn’s experience is vast and varied as he has guiding on the fly as well as worked a season commercial fishing many miles offshore for tuna. Shawn’s background also includes Search & Rescue and professional Firefighting, however, being a passionate west coast fisherman, the temptation of guiding anglers to big fish and even bigger memories was a calling he just couldn’t ignore. Shawn also enjoys snowboarding and surfing and is looking forward to becoming a dad later this summer.
