Lochie MacKenzie

Lochie is ecstatic to be fishing and guiding in the Tofino area again this season, drawing from past experience from time spent on the waters of Alaska, Nepal, Indonesia, Patagonia, and extensively throughout BC. While growing up on the shores of Kalamalka Lake in the Okanagan region of British Columbia, Lochie learned to fish under the watchful eye of parents and grandparents, and alongside fellow guides Conor, Bren and Blake. Lochie has been fly fishing for more than fifteen years, and over that time has developed a career compromising Steelheading addiction.
A recent grad from the University of Victoria, Lochie specialized in Marine Biology while living in Bamfield on the West Coast of Vancouver Island. When not fishing, Lochie can be found in his kayak, navigating treacherous stretches of white water.
After spending the past nine summers guiding clients down the turbulent rivers of BC, Lochie looks forward to meeting guests from far and near in order to pursue salmon, Halibut and Steelhead in the Tofino area as a key member of the Clayoquot Ventures Guide Team.
