An eight year veteran on the remote lakes and streams of Clayoquot Sound, Kodi has become a favourite of many guests that have had the pleasure of sharing time (and their lunch) with him. Always on alert for uninvited visitors, Kodi has an amazing sense of smell for the North American Black Bear, which he often chases to stay in fine fishing condition.

Kodi is very experienced at letting the world know when a Steelhead is about to be released, and he does make a great foot warmer on those colder nights in the tent. He admits that he has a weakness for Cold Smoked Salmon and Moose Jerky, and that he is most content when getting attention from Jay’s kids, Ben and Jenna.

Kodi may possibly be the most photographed Dog that you will ever meet, with numerous fishing magazine appearances, and a steady stream of Tofino tourists that stop to snap a photo of his unique face.
