Flo Besson

Flo has been watching the water for as long as he can remember, casting his first line as a six year-old in France's stream-rich Burgundy region. There, he earned accreditation as a fly fishing guide and instructor in 1995, becoming a Master Instructor in 2000 and operating his own trout reservoir and family fishing gear shop. Flo has fly fished throughout Europe and in the legendary waters of Montana and Quebec's Gaspé. In 2006, Flo moved to Tofino for a lifestyle rich with opportunities for both freshwater and saltwater fishing. Flo enjoys the thrill of the battle with a strong Coho or Steelhead trout as much as the experience of being on (and in) the water with good friends, or in complete solitude. When he isn't teaching fly fishing or sharing his knowledge and passion for fishing in our retail operation, Flo can be found tying flies, and telling his baby daughter Arielle about the next fishing adventure.
