| Chuck’s
fishing background was spawned at the early age of 3. He cut his
teeth in the province of Ontario, with a whitefish and a hefty
lake trout with the help of his father Randy, a long time charter
guide out of Georgian Bay. Chuck was a regular on his fathers
charter boat by the age of 10, getting a serious head start on
guiding skills for Salmon and large Trout species, which he claims
is just “Fishin’ Fever”. Chuck started in the
Tofino waters in 1999 as head guide of a local Resort, polishing
his angling skills in and around Clayoquot Sound for numerous
saltwater species, with the pursuit of offshore Chinook salmon
at the top of his hit list. With a heightened knowledge of various
species and techniques, Chuck is consistently one of the areas
top producing guides. A few attributes in Chuck’s tackle
box include a certificate in Marine Coastal Navigation and Marine
Emergency Duties, as well as level one first aid. Chuck also has
a passion for hunting big game, and he has been focusing time
this spring on attaining certification from North Island College’s
Log Scaling course.
