Vancouver Island Tuna fishing

We've had numerous inquiries about Albacore Tuna sport fishing opportunities out of the Tofino area.

We've been watching the offshore water temp breaks and Chlorophil Reports on a regular basis since early August. We currently have a good looking warm water break approx. 50 miles offshore, that looks pretty fishy. Last weekend's foul weather that helped our local water supply and Coho Salmon fishing has also scattered the mass of warm water that has been moving N.E. towards the coast.

The Albacore Tuna in this area have been caught in as little as a 3 degree temp. break, so the 6 -7 degree break that we've been watching has been looking really good.We are finally at the stage of our Salmon and Halibut season that we have a vessel available off and on for a potential trip out for Tuna, but the weather has not yet allowed for us to go for it. For further Albacore Tuna information, we hope to provide an update within the week, weather permitting.
